Exciting News!  On Saturday, March 20, Fairwinds Farm was named the Cecil County Outstanding Farm Operation by the Cecil County Farm Bureau.

Proclamations were made by the County Commissioners, Senate, House of Delegates, and Frank L. Kratovil (Maryland's First Congressional District) and certificates were presented recognizing the farm.   A great honor!

 

Fairwinds Farm will be one of the stables participating in the Triangle Series of Horse shows this year. We encourage students to enter these shows, dates as follows:  March 28, October 10, and November 7.  (All Sundays) 

• The grain door needs to be kept shut- this prevents anyone from unscheduled snacking- especially when our lovely Annabelle is "mowing."

• Please clean up after yourself! This means sweep out the wash stall after EVERY use, putting brushes back in their proper spot, and sweeping the aisle way after you finish cleaning your horse. There are shovels and brooms in the feed room.

• Make sure your horses have fly masks before going out- and that they have water if your horse is staying in for a later lesson. There are water hydrants at both ends of the barn.

• If you are having troubles closing a door, get help AFTER you secure your horse/ pony! Please make sure that Clay has a stall door that shuts when you put him away. He can sneak under the stall guards and get into trouble.

IF YOU FEED ANY HORSES SENIOR FEED,

MAKE SURE YOU SOAK IT BEFORE YOU FEED THEM!
