Fairwinds Horses

Meet The Fairwinds Horses!

Meet the Mares
Annabelle

Breed: Belgian

Color: Flaxen Chestnut

Annabelle is the sturdiest carriage horse as well as trail horse. She takes her time when she has a rider on her back, or a carriage hooked up. She's one of the most gentle horses you can ever meet, even though she is massive. She can frequently be found "mowing" the Fairwinds grounds!

Breed: Thoroughbred

Ariel was formerly a polo pony- but retired to be a great lesson horse AND trail horse! She recently made her debut in the papers ridden by Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley.

Baily

Breed: Exmoor

Color: Bay

Baily was a rare find, as the Exmoor breed is on the endangered horse list, almost unheard of in the United States!. She has proven to be a great lesson pony, quiet and steady but ready to go when asked. She has also brought home tons of ribbons from a variety of horse shows!

Coco

Breed: Morgan Cross

Color: Bay

Coco loves doing lessons and going out on the trails, and has been winning consistently at local shows. She has a lovely personality and nickers to anyone passing by!

Polly

Breed: Percheron

Color: Gray

Polly is a big girl- and is considered small for her breed! She was very overweight when we bought her, and we started working on a weight loss plan, but the very next week she had a surprise foal in the field, which explained everything. Now that Fire is all grown up- Polly pulls carriages and gives trail rides.

Royce

Royce is a former eventer who has fit in very well with the lesson program, and also loves trail rides!  He is one of our best show horses, bringing home the ribbons every time!
