Welcome to Fairwinds Day Camp!

To keep everyone safe at day camp, the following precautions are in place in accordance with State of Maryland guidelines:

Camp will be restricted to 13 campers and two counselors per week.

All must wear masks in the barn (brought from home), but masks will not be required while riding.

A maximum of two campers will share horse grooming supplies.

Campers will be required to wash hands frequently throughout the day at several washing stations.

We will attempt to maintain 6 foot distancing in the barn, at lunch and during any group activities.

Parents;  When dropping off and  picking up your child, please stay in your vehicle or stand next to.

Our Friday afternoon show and barbecue will be restricted to two family spectators only per camper and families must maintain social distancing from other families.

We will continue to have our Friday barbecue, but this year we will provide hot dogs and rolls only. Families are asked to bring additional food and drinks to feed their own families.

Please have your child bring the following items to camp:

Bag lunch

Water thermos to last all day

Mask

Writing utensil (pen or pencil)

Plain T-shirt (to be used for Arts & Crafts on Wednesday)

Thank you for your cooperation and we will see you soon!  We still have openings in most weeks, but we have cancelled the week of August 10.

Our number one priority is safety!  Our skilled instructors know our horses well - unlike other camps where the horses are "trucked in" for the summer, our horses work with us all year. Why is this important? It means that we know our horse’s strengths, weaknesses and personalities and can match them expertly to your child’s riding ability and style.

Throughout the week, riders will learn important skills both in the saddle and on the ground. On Friday, riders participate in the camp horse show to demonstrate their new skills for family and friends, with a BBQ to follow!

Riders are split into two groups based on riding ability. Children MUST be 8-14 years old to attend. Cost is $325 per child. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due with your application.
